Cockroaches and tomatoes investigated by laser photoacoustics

چکیده
Technical details of two sensitive gas photoacoustic experimental systems based on the use of tunable CO (cryogenic) and waveguide COz lasers as radiation sources are given and their application to specimens of biological origin (cockroaches and tomatoes) described. The results obtained present feasibility and flexibility of this technique in studies requiring high stability and fast response over extended measuring intervals.

Sono-photoacoustic imaging of gold nanoemulsions: Part I. Exposure thresholds
Integrating high contrast bubbles from ultrasound imaging with plasmonic absorbers from photoacoustic imaging is investigated. Nanoemulsion beads coated with gold nanopsheres (NEB-GNS) are excited with simultaneous light (transient heat at the GNS's) and ultrasound (rarefactional pressure) resulting in a phase transition achievable under different scenarios, enhancing laser-induced acoustic sig...

Introduction: Bandar Abbas sewage system is one of the areas in great quality of cockroaches. In spite of passing a short time from exploitation of this system (since 1383), It is necessary considering the cockroaches abundance and the best way of fighting against this insect. Methods: In this investigation four poisons of delta metrine, sypermetrine, Permetrine and Sevin, were selected to t...
متن کاملNonlinear photoacoustic signal amplification from single targets in absorption background☆
Photoacoustic (PA) detection of single absorbing targets such as nanoparticles or cells can be limited by absorption background. We show here that this problem can be overcome by using the nonlinear photoacoustics based on the differences in PA signal dependences on the laser energy from targets and background. Among different nonlinear phenomena, we focused on laser generation of nanobubbles a...
متن کاملPhotoacoustics: an acoustic method for trace gas measurements
The photoacoustic (PA) effect, the generation of sound by the absorption of pulsed or modulated light, has been known since the famous experiments of Alexander Graham Bell in 1880. Scientific and practical applications of the photoacoustic technique have been considerably promoted by the invention of laser, which is an ideal light source for photoacoustics. Recently, photoacoustic detectors pla...
